PGMA allays fears of gov’t launching an all-out war in Mindanao against MILF renegade groups
MANILA,
Aug. 23 (PNA) -- President Gloria Macapagal- Arroyo “wishes to allay
fears” of the public that an all-out war in Mindanao will be launched
by the government amid calls by some sectors to do so, and that such
“could be possible,” as military operations are under way in hot
pursuit of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) armed groups who
attacked civilians in North Cotabato, Lanao del Norte, Maguindanao and
Sarangani provinces.
